My sculptures often have human figures. The goal is to convey emotions through figurative details but also through the overall forms and expressiveness of the gestures. The sculpture here depicts my grandmother, Halmoni, a petite figure wielding tyrannical power in the family. The demureness of her face juxtaposed with the monumentality of her body may hint at the size of her dominance in our family.
