Trained and practiced architecture in Seattle and Cleveland, I have deep appreciation for form and function. My initial foray into clay is figurative sculpting and my love for clay didn’t stop there. I find the work of creating everyday objects fascinating and challenging because something as common as a cup can come in so many shapes and forms. The problem of holding liquid has been solved, the challenge I embrace is to make the experience fun and different for the user.

My works have been exhibited at the Sculpture Center in Cleveland and at the West Huron Sculptors in Ann Arbor. My works have been sold at the University of Michigan Museum of Art and Ann Arbor Art Center.

Since moving to San Francisco, my works have been exhibited:

• “The 7x7: A Ceramaganza at Aquatic Park” in Col Gallery

• “Storytelling through Figure Sculpture” at 1431 Gallery.

I am currently working as an independent ceramic artist at the Clayroom Studio in San Francisco.
