About my pottery
I like my functional pottery to embody thoughtful design. My wheel-thrown pieces often have added elements of surprise. My hand-built pieces are laborious to make, but the process of making them is often the joyous part of the creation.
The teapot on the right, for example, is a pinched pot made of porcelain clay. The “tree branch” handle treatment is repeated on the lid where a little blue bird is perched.
